Thank you for viewing. This is a practice sword for iaido. It is not a real sword. This item has been stored in a warehouse. There are some light scuffs on the saya of the long sword from storage, but they are not noticeable and the item is in beautiful condition. It has only been removed from the saya for inspection and has not been used for iaido practice. The construction is solid and it can be used without issue for iaido practice or performance. It has been many years since Japan Antique Gallery stopped selling iaido swords, and this is a beautiful item that may not be available again. The characteristic of this Goro Nyudo Masamune made by Japan Antique Gallery is its excellent balance, making it light and easy to swing. It is particularly popular with beginners and intermediate practitioners, and its good construction ensures it can be used for a long time. Original Retail Price: Long and Short Sword Set: ¥159,000 Blade: Special alloy, ancient sword style for iaido, thin blade finish Tsuka-maki (Hilt Wrapping): Genuine ray skin with pure cotton Rikyucha ito twisted wrap Menuki (Hilt Ornaments): Armor fittings design (brass) Fittings: Kashira (Pommel), Fuchi (Collar), and Ishizuki (End Cap) with armor sleeve design (copper) Tsuba (Guard): Iron with plum and bamboo design, gold inlay finish Saya (Scabbard): Black lacquer, ito-maki style finish (same for both long and short swords) Long Sword Overall Length: 101 cm Blade Length: 71 cm (excluding habaki) Weight (unsheathed): 820g Tsuka Length: 24 cm Curvature: 1.8 cm Short Sword Overall Length: 68 cm Blade Length: 46 cm (excluding habaki) Weight (unsheathed): 600g Tsuka Length: 17 cm Curvature: 1.5 cm Manufacturer: Japan Antique Gallery Accessories: Sword stand, sword bag (new and unused) ⚠️The included sword bag has been lost, so a replacement sword bag is provided. However, there is no sword bag specifically for the short sword; a sword bag for the long sword is included. Please fold the tip to fit the short sword. ⚠️Although this is a beautiful item, it is a used item, and there may be scratches or dirt that I have not noticed. Please consider this before making a purchase. ⭐️I have many other items for sale. Please take a look if you are interested. I would also appreciate it if you could read my profile.
