Minozaka Made Higo Koshirae Iai Sword 2 Shaku 3 Sun 5 Bu, Grooved Blade [Mercari Festival Limited Price] Will be significantly increased after the 17th. [Set Contents] - Iai Sword Body - Saya (Scabbard) - Sageo (Cord) - Sword Bag *Items not shown in the photos are not included. This is a product from Minozaka, a long-established manufacturer of iaido swords. It is slightly shorter in length, and I was told the previous owner was a female swordsman. (The sageo has been changed to red by the previous owner's preference.) The tsuka-ito (handle wrap) is tanned in a way that shows it has been used for practice, giving it a good texture different from a shiny new product. As you can see from the photos, the sword is in very good overall condition. It is short and easy to swing, with good hina-ri (whistling sound of the blade) and no looseness. As expected from a mid-grade product from Minozaka, which supplies nationwide dojos, the quality of each part is vastly superior to overseas products. While the appearance is simple for a collector's item, I believe it is a solid and excellent product for practice. The length was slightly off for me, so I would like to pass it on to someone who needs it. Highly recommended as a first sword for petite men or female swordsmen. [Product Information] Manufacturer: Minozaka Product Name: #105 Higo Koshirae Length: 2 Shaku 3 Sun 5 Bu (Blade length 71cm, Cutting edge length approx. 70.5cm) Weight: Approx. 772g (without saya) Blade: Sand-cast zinc alloy, straight temper line, thin blade finish Tsuba (Guard): Iron, Namazu (catfish) openwork Habaki (Blade collar): Brass, Shonai style, file marks present Seppa (Washers): Copper, black dyed Tsuka (Hilt): Wooden core, genuine ray skin, black cotton wrap Fuchi-Kashira (Hilt fittings): Copper, Higo arabesque pattern, ring-shaped pommel fitting Menuki (Hilt ornaments): Copper, Kuyo (nine stars) crest Saya (Scabbard): Black lacquer Sageo (Cord): Rayon, red, 220cm Accessories: Single cloth bag (torn) [Average New Retail Price] ¥71,000 - ¥77,000 [Product Condition] - No looseness or rattling in the main body. - A slight dent, only noticeable by touch, 26cm from the tsuba. Faint scratches on the blade, barely visible up close. No other noticeable defects. - The saya is generally clean and in good condition with minor scuffs from use, but no noticeable dents. - The koiguchi (scabbard mouth) has been adjusted with thin wood shims. - Ready for immediate practice use in its current state. This is a very popular item in good condition, so I do not intend to sell it at a bargain price. As it is already significantly cheaper than the market price, there will generally be no further price reductions. *Prices will be reviewed periodically. #Minozaka #HigoKoshirae #Iaido #IaidoSword #ReplicaSword #PracticeSword Click here for the manufacturer's site
