Vintage bow tie by Madawaska Weavers, hand woven (tissé main) in St. Léonard, New Brunswick, Canada. Made from 100% wool, this piece features a classic blue plaid pattern with tonal variation that gives it texture and a distinctly heritage feel. The wool has a slightly nubby, artisanal hand typical of traditional weaving, reading more rustic than formal. It’s well suited to fall and winter wear and pairs naturally with tweed, chambray, oxford cloth, or heavier knits. The overall look leans academic and heritage rather than polished or flashy. Brand information is provided via a woven Madawaska Weavers tag, discreetly sewn between the layers of the bow tie, rather than on the hardware. The bow is finished with a metal clip-style back engraved “ORMONMD” on one side and “RUST RESIST” on the other, indicating durable, wear-resistant hardware.
