Thank you for looking. This is a Pearl snare drum, likely from the early 1980s. I received it from a senior drummer a long time ago, but now I have other main snare drums and don't have the opportunity to play this one, so I'm selling it as part of my equipment clear-out. It's 14 inches x 5.5 inches. I played it in a studio for this listing, and it produced a great steel shell sound. It cuts through even distorted guitar sounds. I think it would be good for rock, pop, and similar genres. It has an internal muffler, so you can easily fine-tune the resonance by turning the knob. The internal muffler, snare on/off, and snare tension adjustment all work without any issues. If I had to point out any flaws, they would be: 1. One of the tension bolts is a different type. 2. The batter head is deteriorated (dirty). As it is an old item, there are also some minor rust spots and pitting on the plated parts. Please check the photos for the condition. If you are concerned about the condition based on the photos, please refrain from purchasing. *The snare stand used for the photos is not included.* We look forward to purchases from those who understand and appreciate vintage and used items. Please note that we plan to use recycled cardboard boxes for packaging. Click here for the manufacturer's site
