fabulous and difficult-to-find vintage Kathryn Molineux hand-painted needlepoint canvas featuring a wonderfully unconventional patchwork cow. Rather than traditional markings, this whimsical cow is painted in large blocks of rich red, cobalt blue, golden yellow, cream and earthy brown, giving the animal the appearance of a colorful patchwork quilt. The cow stands beneath a stylized lavender and blue tree canopy on a softly patterned lavender ground, all enclosed within a deep red border. The combination of folk-art imagery, saturated color and Kathryn Molineux's distinctive artistic style makes this an especially striking canvas. Designer: Kathryn Molineux / Shorebird Studio Design: Exact published title unknown; described here as Patchwork Cow Subject: Cow / cattle / farm animal Painted design area: approximately 11.5 x 11.5 Condition: Vintage, unused and unstitched Type: Hand-painted needlepoint canvas The original Kathryn Molineux signature is visible along the lower canvas margin. This appears to be an older/discontinued design. Despite searching for an exact match, I have not located another example of this particular Kathryn Molineux cow design currently available. Canvas only — no threads, fibers, or stitching/stitch guide are included. Please note: This canvas will be folded for shipping. Your canvas will be carefully packaged and shipped with tracking and insurance as appropriate.
