Authentic antique/vintage hand-painted ceramic piece from the Arnhemsche Fayencefabriek (Arnhem Faience Factory) in the Netherlands, dating to the circa 1920s Art Nouveau/Art Deco transition period. Features a bulbous body with a tapered neck in a matte green and cream finish with a colorful floral pattern. This piece has been converted into a lamp base and features an old metal adapter collar still mounted tightly to the top neck rim. Markings on bottom: Stamped rooster claw/gate emblem (Official Arnhem factory mark) Incised shape/model number 254 Hand-painted painter initials/ciphers (W / C) Measurements: Height: Approx. 11”tall (ceramic portion excluding metal top) Bulb Width: Approx. 7” across Condition - Please Read: Selling strictly AS IS for parts, restoration, or decorative display. The ceramic body shows extensive, heavy all-over glaze crazing consistent with its age. There is one distinct chip along the bottom outer perimeter rim (visible in pics). The metal lamp adapter at the top is unpolished and shows clear signs of corrosion/tarnish. No wiring or socket internals are included—this is just the ceramic body shell with the vintage hardware mount. Please review all photos closely for exact condition details before purchasing!
