For sale: A retro, MCM Vintage Prinetti Glossy Stoneware Serving Bowl, Orange Band Ring 9 This Vintage Prinetti Stoneware Bowl features an Orange Band Ring Stripe design. Manufactured during the mid-20th century (typically the 1960s), these glossy ivory stoneware bowls are highly durable, oven-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe. They were produced in various sizes, including 7-inch cereal/soup bowls and larger 9-inch serving bowls. Because of their durability and widespread distribution, these banded retro bowls carry deep nostalgic value in many Caribbean, Jamaican, and Latino households. The bowls were frequently found in multi-striped collections including blue, green, and orange band configurations and earth-toned glazes. The back-stamp circular logo contains the text Made in China stamped across the center bar. Around the perimeter of the circle, the utility specifications read: Oven to Table to Dishwasher For Microwave Oven. • Material: Heavy-duty glossy stoneware. • Origin: China • Time Period: MCM 1960s • Dimensions: 9” Diameter, 3”H Condition: good used condition. The orange bands look fantastic. There are imperfections in the bowl from the time of firing. There is some staining inside of the bowl and some minor surface scratches, typical of stoneware its age. No cracks, chips etc. The bowl shows signs of the beginning of crazing - it’s muted right now. The bowl presents beautifully. See all photos. Sold as is.
