Vintage EKCO Magic Cake Pan Set by Edward Katzinger Company, perfect for creating classic checkerboard cakes. This complete set includes three round cake pans and the necessary divider rings to alternate light and dark batters as shown on the original packaging. Made of durable tinned steel, these pans feature the embossed EKCO logo and Pat. Applied For mark. The original box includes the Magic Cake recipe and step-by-step instructions for assembly, making it a wonderful collectible for vintage kitchen enthusiasts or bakers looking to recreate mid-century treats. This was manufactured between 1923 and 1945. The company moved to its printed address in 1923, and they officially changed the corporate name to the Ekco Products Company in 1945, after which the box would have been printed with the Ekco branding rather than the full founder's name. Note that the box is not in great shape. It's entirely missing one of the flaps. And the larger ring is just a bit off-circle. Nothing is bent, but it's warped enough to need either a gentle hold-in-place, or a bit of reshaping in order to fully settle into the indentation of the pan.
