Up for resale is a vintage Minolta XG-9 35mm film SLR camera body paired with a highly desirable Minolta MD Rokkor 50mm f/1.7 prime lens. This camera kit is being sold strictly AS-IS for parts, repair, or restoration as it currently does not power on. Condition Details: Power Status: Fresh batteries were installed, but the camera does not power up, and the internal light meter LEDs do not illuminate. The camera likely requires a standard capacitor replacement, a very common and straightforward fix for the Minolta XG series. Battery Compartment: Exceptionally clean. The compartment is completely free of any ruinous green battery acid corrosion or leakage, and the copper contact tab is shiny and fully intact. Lens Optics: The 50mm f/1.7 prime lens is in excellent physical condition. The glass is visually clear, the manual focus ring rotates smoothly, and the aperture ring clicks cleanly through positions. This lens is highly sought after for adaptation to modern mirrorless digital systems. Cosmetics: Shows normal vintage wear consistent with age, including light dust and minor surface scuffs. No major structural cracks or deep impact damage. This bundle offers an excellent, clean foundation for a vintage camera flipper, repair hobbyist, or collector. Please review all listing photos carefully to verify the physical condition. Sold completely as-is for parts or repair with no returns. Fast shipping!
