This is an antique round doily made with the lacy bobbin lace of Bruges, the Venice of Belgium. This cool, handmade piece is crafted from unbleached, natural linen thread, as if spun directly from flax. The fine, supple linen thread has a subtle sheen and luster, in a soft, gentle beige tone. With details like picot lace embroidery within the Bruges lace, it exudes an elegant and delicate atmosphere, with a touch of nostalgic charm. It is not stiff, but smooth, soft, and silky to the touch. Please excuse any errors in the amateur measurements below. Diameter: 16-16.5 cm Approx. 2g It is thin with a low profile, so I believe glasses and other items placed on it will not tip over. There is almost no difference between the front and back, so you can enjoy both sides beautifully. It would also be lovely displayed with a vase, objet d'art, or doll.
