Product Name: Murakami Wood-Carved Toishu Lacquer Round Tray Finish: Lacquer coating Material: Natural wood Approval Number: SK-NG-0127 Size: Approximately 26cm in diameter Designated as Niigata Prefecture Intangible Cultural Property in 1955 and National Traditional Craft by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry in 1976. Characteristics of Murakami Toishu: The process involves carving patterns such as flowers and birds onto natural wood, applying multiple layers of natural lacquer, and then a matte finishing process after the final coating, resulting in a craft item with deep and expressive qualities. - Color: Vermilion lacquer - Design: Carvings of flowers and rocks - Shape: Round - Bottom condition: Traces of sticker removal This round tray has been stored in a home closet for several decades. It has been stored in its box for many years, so it is almost unused but cannot be considered new. The box is heavily deteriorated due to age, so please consider it a bonus. As this is an antique item with the image of traditional craftsmanship, those seeking new items are advised not to purchase. This is a very atmospheric round tray with multiple layers of natural wood lacquer coating and a matte finish. According to the description, it can be used for everyday purposes, but it is likely more valuable as a decorative tray for display. The original box and explanatory paper will be included. The item will be shipped by wrapping the original box. Thank you for viewing.
