Aizu Lacquerware Set of 5 Lacquered Bowls with Lids We have two identical boxes, so a set of 10 bowls is also possible. Please message us before purchasing if you are interested. We will offer a ¥500 discount in that case. These were stored at my grandmother's house. *Please note that while there are signs of age-related scuffs and dullness, they are in relatively clean condition. The boxes were deteriorated, but the contents were wrapped in tissue paper. These bowls feature a lovely design of imperial carriages and cute plovers. A small plate with the character 寿 (kotobuki, meaning longevity/celebration) is also included. These are Showa-era lacquer soup bowls and clear soup bowls. They are perfect tableware for any season, with cute and celebratory patterns. The color contrast when you open the lid is also wonderful. You can enjoy the surprise of opening the lid! Perfect for the upcoming colder season. Enjoy various clear soups and dishes like matsutake mushrooms, other mushrooms, seaweed, or white fish in a Japanese restaurant style or Japanese cafe style at home. ■Size: Bowl diameter approx. 12.8cm, Height including lid approx. 8cm ■Country of Origin: Made in Japan, likely resin with urethane coating ■Manufacturing Period: Likely around the 1960s (Showa 40s) ■Storage Conditions: Store display and warehouse storage ■Other Points: As these are very old items, there may be natural dullness, minor stacking scuffs, or color variations. There may also be original minor lacquer peeling or unevenness on the bowls. Please understand this in advance. The descriptions are quoted from the internet. The boxes are deteriorated, so the bowls will be shipped without the boxes. We cannot accept returns or exchanges. Click here for the manufacturer's site
