● Size (approximate): Height 17 cm x Diameter 15 cm ● Weight: Approximately 1314 g ● Faint Genkei seal on the underside of the base. This is a work by Genkei Kobashigawa. Overall, it is in good condition, but there is a repaired area of approximately 1 cm on the body and a 3 cm long repaired area from a stone burst on the lid. These are indicated by the red arrows in the third photo. The glaze has a dignified and elegant blue-green hue. The colors and form exude a vintage feel. A deeply flavorful piece, characteristic of Genkei's work. A masterpiece that you can gaze at endlessly. It is watertight. A copy of the artist's biography is included. Handcrafted works, due to their style and individuality, may have areas that appear to be imperfections. Appreciate the artist's spirit, enjoy their individuality, and cherish their work. Minor distortions, wobbles, stone bursts, crazing, glaze peeling, glaze chips, firing cracks, etc., that do not detract from the appearance or usability are considered part of the finished product and are sold as is. Please refrain from making value judgments based on amateur observations. Those who are overly concerned about the condition of the item or who do not understand the characteristics of Okinawan pottery are kindly asked to refrain from purchasing. Master craftsman of Tsuboya, Genkei Kobashigawa (1911-2005), was renowned as a master of the potter's wheel, captivating many pottery enthusiasts with his unique, unpretentious style.
