Rare two-volume set of Handley Cross or Mr. Jorrocks's Hunt, beautifully illustrated and SIGNED by Cecil Alden. Numbered 91/250. These vintage hardcovers feature striking red boards with gold-stamped equestrian motifs on the front covers and cream-colored spines with gold lettering. Published by Edward Arnold, this classic work of sporting literature captures the spirit of the hunt with Alden's renowned artistic style. The set shows significant age-related wear, including heavy foxing to the page edges, toning, and wear to the spine edges and corners, making it a characterful addition for a collector of equestrian or vintage sporting books. *NOTE: See photos for examples of staining/foxing. Measurements: • Height: 10 • Width: 7.5 • Depth (combined): 3.5 Satisfaction guaranteed! Thank you for shopping Racksy!
