Handcrafted horsehair pottery vase signed and dated 2002. This unique piece features a faceted, octagonal body with a textured white finish, accented by a terracotta orange band and two integrated handles. The intricate black lines are created by applying real horsehair and feathers to the heated ceramic surface, resulting in a one-of-a-kind organic pattern. The interior is smooth and dark, contrasting with the rustic, matte exterior. A beautiful example of Southwestern or contemporary studio pottery, perfect for a mantel or shelf display. The underside is signed and numbered/marked by the artist, although the signature is difficult to decipher. Please see close-up photos of the base for identifying marks. Measurements: * Diameter: approximately 8 * Height: approximately 9.75 Condition: Pre-owned condition with natural surface texture, firing variations, pits, irregularities, and markings consistent with handcrafted pottery and the horsehair firing process. No obvious major chips or cracks observed. Please review all photos carefully for condition and artist markings.
