A extremely rare unreleased 1 of 24 look-see sample of a deadstock vintage Nike Air Presto Wovenowtop (also frequently referred to as the Nike Air Presto Woven) in the classic Black/Red colorway. A true 2001 look-see/promo sample with the 999999999 barcode and sample tag. Key Characteristics Model & Release: Originally launched in the early 2000s (around 2001–2002), this model is part of Nike's progressive Alpha Project era. The internal size tag confirming this is an incredibly rare Nike Promo Sample pair from 2001. Key Details from the Tag Sample Designation: The word SAMPLE is explicitly printed on the left side. Style & Color Code: The code 302316-001 confirms the original retail style code for the general release version of the Nike Air Presto Wovenowtop (Black/Red). The 999999 Barcode: The numbers printed below the barcode (999999999) are the classic placeholder digits Nike historically used exclusively for look-see, wear-test, and promotional development samples. Given that this is an unreleased promo sample of an already obscure Alpha Project model from 2001, it is a highly coveted collector's item. Because the plastic rear support has cracked and degraded (a common issue called crumbling/material hydrolysis for Alpha Project-era pairs), the shoe is effectively an archive display piece rather than functional footwear.
