Beautiful vintage porcelain dress clip featuring a romantic courting couple in a pastoral garden scene, reminiscent of the Rococo paintings of Jean-Honoré Fragonard. The domed porcelain plaque is set into an ornate antiqued gold-tone frame with decorative scrolling and dimensional detailing. The reverse features a hinged dress-clip mechanism, rather than a traditional brooch pin. Dress clips were fashionable accessories worn at the neckline, collar, lapel, scarf, hat or even on a handbag. This example appears consistent with pieces dating from approximately the 1930s–1950s. Details: • Measures approx. 1.75 x 1.5 • Porcelain courting-couple scene • Fragonard / Rococo Revival style • Ornate gold-tone metal frame • Hinged dress-clip mechanism • Unsigned • Vintage circa 1930s–1950s • HTF vintage fashion accessory Good vintage condition with age-related wear/patina to the metal consistent with its age. Porcelain scene remains lovely and colorful. Please review photos closely for condition.
