A sweet piece of handworked textile art featuring a pair of blue birds perched among leafy green branches. The needlepoint is worked against a warm cream ground and presented in an ornate antiqued gold-tone frame, giving the piece a wonderfully traditional, slightly romantic character. The reverse is handwritten “Made by Anna Martha Powell” and retains a Bradford Gallery framing label from Austin, Texas. Condition Good vintage condition with age-related wear. Needlework presents nicely with no major damage noted to the visible front, though it has yellowed with age. Frame has chips on the corner and to a few of the rises along the raised moulding. Paper backing is stained, torn, and partially separated along the upper portion and edges. Hanging wire remains attached. Please review photos closely for condition details.
