(Size) Mizusashi (freshwater container) maximum body diameter: approx. 15.4cm x height: approx. 18.5cm (up to the top of the knob on the lacquered lid) Shared box width: approx. 19.8cm x depth: approx. 19.8cm x height: approx. 22cm (Product Description) This is a Takatori Mizusashi by the potter Yukiyama Onimaru, born in Fukuoka Prefecture. It is self-made, without damage, and comes with a shared box. Sōkan Horiuchi, the 12th generation head of the Horiuchi family of the Omotesenke school, has authenticated it with his seal on the underside of the lacquered lid and the inscription Takatori Mizusashi, Meirei Seisen (Takatori Mizusashi, named Clear Spring) on the underside of the box lid. The condition is excellent. It can be enjoyed as is for use, or it can be displayed and enjoyed. There are stamps of Takatori and Yukiyama on the bottom of the work. It comes with a custom-made lacquered lid that fits the rim of the opening. The original owner has attached anti-slip pads to the bottom of the work. The flowing glaze, which creates a landscape, makes this a very beautiful and elegant mizusashi. It can be enjoyed for use in tea ceremonies regardless of the season. Please check the images.
