This is a rare 1981 DAW Double edition featuring two complete novels from the Dray Prescot series: Manhounds of Antares and Arena of Antares. As told to Alan Burt Akers, these stories follow the adventures of Earthman Dray Prescot on the mysterious planet Kregen of Antares in the Constellation Scorpio. This edition is a must-have for collectors of vintage science fiction and planetary romance, featuring the classic pulp-style action that the series is known for. This specific volume is a First Printing of the Double Edition, released in August 1981 by DAW Books. It features striking cover art by Richard Hescox and interior illustrations by Jack Gaughan. The book is complete and unabridged, offering a deep dive into the Havilfar Cycle of the Prescot saga. A fantastic addition to any sci-fi library, especially for fans of Edgar Rice Burroughs-style adventures and 1970s/80s fantasy paperbacks.
