This is a gem personally imported from America with great care. Crafted from carved buffalo bone, it has a beautiful amber color with mottled patterns like apple honey, and a wonderful texture. Specifications: Taper angle: 3 degrees Shank diameter (below the head): Approximately 5.3mm Grooved Photo 4 shows an example of use. This is a pin from the same manufacturer (not the item for sale). It pairs exceptionally well with saddles made from unbleached, oil-treated cow bone. While it should fit most guitars, please carefully check the dimensions. Due to the handmade nature of these pins, there may be slight variations. Please consider this item to be one that you can make minor adjustments to yourself, such as light sanding. Although the size is generally standard, pins with this kind of texture are extremely rare worldwide. Commercially available pins are often bleached, resulting in a washed-out color, or if unbleached, they have a uniform, flat texture that looks cheap. Even if available, they might have a 5-degree taper angle... I arrived at this product after searching for something that met my needs and satisfied my standards. Acoustic guitars have a long history, but for some reason, bridge pins seem to be overlooked. Very few music stores seem to stock them with knowledge of taper angles or shank diameters. In fact, you might only find options from brands like Pickboy, Allparts, and Schaller, or perhaps resold items from AliExpress on platforms like Mercari. Even on high-end luthier guitars exceeding 2 million yen, you might find cheap, low-quality pins from AliExpress costing a few hundred yen for a set of six. I personally feel that for instruments crafted with such passion, one should pay more attention to the details...
