This is an original part used on the BOXER series (ST-556, etc.) and Contemporary/HM-style Stratocasters. The central F logo is a knob design characteristic of Fender Japan from that era. Unlike typical Strat knobs, it features knurling for enhanced operability, reflecting the modern, performance-oriented specifications of the 1980s. These parts are rarely available individually today and are in demand for those who prioritize original condition or for restoration purposes. While there are minor scratches and signs of use, they do not affect functionality. ---- Fender Japan original “F Logo Contemporary Knob” from the mid-1980s. This black control knob was used on Boxer series models (such as ST-556) and other Contemporary / HM Strat-style guitars made in Japan during the Fujigen era. It features the distinctive embossed “F” logo unique to Fender Japan at the time, along with a knurled edge for improved grip and control. This design reflects the modern, performance-oriented approach of 1980s Fender Japan, differing from traditional Stratocaster knobs. Original parts like this are becoming increasingly difficult to find on the market, especially as single pieces. Suitable for restoration, replacement, or collectors seeking period-correct hardware.
