Up for sale is a highly collectible, authentic vintage filet crochet pictorial panel featuring an adorable novelty design of three little puppies sitting side-by-side. The whimsical puppy motif is framed by beautiful, dense rose floral borders along both the top and bottom edges.About This Piece:This piece perfectly matches the famous mail-order newspaper patterns (such as Alice Brooks or Laura Wheeler) from the 1930s and 1940s. Novelty animal motifs are highly sought after by collectors and much rarer than basic geometric or floral designs.Traditional Use: It features a straight top edge and a wide, uniform scalloped lower border, originally designed as an antimacassar (armchair headrest protector) or a decorative buffet scarf end.Versatile Decor: Beyond traditional use, this charming piece is absolutely perfect for vintage nursery decor, framing inside a shadowbox for dog lovers, or incorporating into heritage sewing and junk journal crafts.Condition:Excellent vintage condition. The off-white/cream cotton thread is clean, stable, and completely intact with no broken grids, unravelling, or noticeable staining. Displays beautifully.Ships quickly from a smoke-free home. Please review all pictures for a close-up look at the intricate stitch details before buying!
