This artisan-made crossbody from Gretel (Missoula, Montana) combines two-tone brown leather panels with hand-burned designs: a geometric cactus on the flap, a moon-and-star motif on the body. The envelope silhouette keeps things slim and structured, and the hardware finish is antiqued brass. Yellow leather connectors pop against the black faux-leather strap, which is hand-stitched in turquoise thread. Details: • Maker: Gretel (Missoula, Montana) • Material: Full-grain pebbled leather body, faux-leather strap • Hardware: Antiqued brass D-rings and snap closure • Dimensions: 11 W (top) x 10 W (bottom) x 10.5 H x 1 D • Strap drop: 20 • Closure: Single snap on the envelope flap • Interior: Unlined, raw leather edges • Color: Two-tone brown with black strap and mustard-yellow accents • Southwestern motifs: Hand-burned cactus and moon/star designs • Weight: Lightweight (under 1 lb) Condition notes: One visible mark where an old patch or embellishment was removed (see close-up); the stitching holes remain. A few gentle scuffs on the back panel and some light surface marks on the lower flap corner. All consistent with light use and the rustic aesthetic. I treated the leather fully with Saphir macadamia lotion; it's supple and ready to carry. Pairs perfectly with denim and boots.
