Other rod holder shim blocks also available! Square timber not included. Square timber dimensions: Approx. 9cm x Approx. 5.3cm Made from Sen wood (precious wood), making it extremely durable and sturdy. It will not excessively indent under clamp pressure and is resistant to corrosion from seawater, allowing for long-term use. This shim block is used to tilt the rod holder towards the sea surface. Tilting it reduces the bouncing of the rod tip. Convenient for oki-zuri (leaving the rod in the holder) fishing, similar to experienced anglers who tilt their rods for fishing such as Bisiaji (horse mackerel) or Komase Madai (chummed sea bream). Set it on the gunwale as shown in the image. Be sure to set the lower support block. Without the support block, it will be unstable and the rod holder may come off. The angle can be adjusted horizontally with the bolt of the rod holder. Made to fit Daiwa Light Holder 90CH and Daiichi Seiko Mini Lark perfectly.
