Fujitsu Document Scanner S500-S1500 Feed Roller with Anti-Slip Washer. Seems to be compatible with ix500 as well. It works without problems using this method on my ScanSnap iX500 Evernote Edition (no guarantee). Originally, it comes with urethane rollers, but they are weak to heat and deteriorate quickly. I replaced them with silicone material, which is less prone to deterioration from heat, cut cleanly. As shown in the photos, the feed rollers, which had deteriorated and become sticky, hindering operation, will be like new. Several methods for disassembly and replacement can be found by searching the web. How about those who are confident in their skills? (No support provided) For those who are not confident in disassembly, there is a simple repair method as shown in photos 4 onwards: cut a slit vertically and clamp it. (It's easy and works without problems.) * If you need the cut for the simple repair method, please contact us via the transaction navigation after winning the auction. * If there is no contact, the item will be shipped as is. This will still feed paper without problems. Includes 2 anti-slip washers for the lower roller. As shown in photo 6, by pushing the opened part with needle-nose pliers into the groove where the sponge was, you can prevent the roller from slipping. The order is to slightly offset the cut of the washer and push it into the groove with needle-nose pliers. Then, attach the cut silicone tube and it's done. If you disassembled it, push in the tube first, then attach the washer. Advice for sticky rollers: If the corroded urethane has melted and stuck to the metal, purchase a sticker remover or nail polish remover from a 100-yen shop and wipe it off with a cotton swab. Nail polish remover should work better. The metal shaft can be moved by gripping it with fine-tipped needle-nose pliers (sold at 100-yen shops) and turning it little by little. Don't rush, turn it slowly. I wish you success. Please judge from the photos. Shipping will be via Sagawa Express Yu-Packet (post-delivery, with tracking number).
