Beautiful vintage Toscany hand-blown Italian art glass footed bowl / compote, dating approximately to the 1960s–1970s. This striking piece is hand blown in luminous aqua / turquoise blue glass with a thick, substantial construction. The bowl features a vertically lobed optic design that creates beautiful waves of color through the glass, along with a dramatic scalloped ruffled rim and thick pedestal foot. The original black and gold foil label remains attached and reads “HAND BLOWN / toscany / MADE IN ITALY.” Toscany-labeled glass is associated with Italian decorative glass from the Empoli region, although the specific glassworks responsible for this piece is unknown. It is therefore described as likely Empoli rather than attributed to a particular factory. A beautiful piece of vintage Italian art glass for use as a small centerpiece, candy or trinket bowl, compote, or display piece. Details: • Vintage Toscany art glass • Hand blown in Italy • Aqua / turquoise blue • Lobed optic design • Scalloped ruffled rim • Pedestal foot • Original Toscany foil label • Likely Empoli region • Estimated 1960s–1970s • Approx. 5.75 H × 5.5 W • Weight: approx. 1 lb 5.5 oz Condition: Very good vintage condition with light age/handling wear. No obvious chips or cracks observed. Handmade glass may have natural variations, bubbles, or other manufacturing characteristics. Original foil label remains attached. Please review all photos carefully.
