Vintage Black Cat Capacitor - Critically Endangered, Rare. Tested and confirmed working with a tester and guitar, readings are good. .033 400v A classic and popular value. Ideal for P90s as a standard value, humbuckers that need a slightly darker tone, and single-coils that need a bit more clarity. Also suitable for other electronic components. Black Cat capacitors are famous and popular for their excellent sound quality as high-quality film capacitors. Cornell Series Compared to Sprague, Cornell has a wider range, extends further into the high frequencies, and has a bright, pleasant sound. Subjectively, here are the general characteristics of each model: Black Cat: Standard bite, wide low-end range, and a strong vintage character. Greenie: Similar to Black Cat, but with a slightly stronger, more undulating bite. Blackie: Similar to Greenie, but with a slightly stronger bite and a wilder tone. Tiny Chief: Slightly less low-end range, strong undulation, and a wild tone. Popular for heavy and punk genres. Maroon: Similar to Tiny Chief, but with a wider range and stronger undulation. Cub: Standard bite, similar to Black Beauty but with a slightly brighter tone. Features a dry, straightforward tone, different from oil-filled capacitors. Click here for the manufacturer's site
