Beautiful antique hand-painted porcelain serving tray featuring delicate clusters of purple violets set within Art Nouveau gold scrollwork cartouches at each corner. The tray has a soft lavender-shaded ground fading to white at the center, with raised gold-gilt open handles at each end and a full gold gilt rim. Marked on the reverse Poetsch Studio with a Bavaria backstamp, indicating a Bavarian porcelain blank hand-decorated by this studio — a hallmark of the early 20th-century American china-painting trade, in the style of well-known decorating houses like Pickard. Details: Size: 9.5 x 9.5 (square, handle to handle) Material: Fine porcelain Origin: Bavaria, Germany (blank) / hand-decorated, marked Poetsch Studio Pattern: Purple violets with Art Nouveau gold gilt scrollwork Era: Antique, circa early mid 20th century Condition: Good vintage condition with only minor wear from age. No cracks or chips A lovely piece for collectors of hand-painted Bavarian China, violet motifs, Art Nouveau decorative arts, or anyone building a vintage tea/serving display.
