Vintage whimsigoth dark coquette 1960s early 1970s mod triangle head kerchief scarf - black and white daisy with rolled stitched hem - 38 inches High contrast black and white daisy botanical print layered over a subtle grid/windowpane background pattern with rolled stitched hem - hallmark of the late 1960s Mod fashion movement Excellent vintage condition From my late mother’s 1960-1970 collection The Shape is a triangle scarf, kerchief or half-scarf This specific pre-cut triangle style rose significantly in popularity during this era and was manufactured this way to prevent the extra bulk created when folding a traditional 36 inch square scarf in half Dimensions: Measuring roughly 38 inches along the hypotenuse (long edge), this size is the standard length required to comfortably tie underneath a chin or wrap around the back of the neck over a 1960s beehive or bouffant hairstyle Features a machine-rolled hem utilizing a vintage industrial rolled foot, resulting in tight, fine stitching on one side of the finely rolled hem The dye penetration is exceptional, leaving the graphic print just as dark and vibrant on the reverse side as it is on the front No physical tag.
