Flesher, London Date: 1685 (MDCLXXXV) ABOUT THIS BOOK An authentic 17th-century legal folio — Joseph Keble's case reports from the Court of King's Bench during the reign of Charles II, covering legal records and precedents from roughly the 13th to 17th years of his reign (c. 1661–1665). Keble's reports are a foundational primary source for English Common Law following the Restoration. This volume includes a comprehensive multi-page alphabetical case index referencing matters argued at Westminster. CONDITION (please review all photos closely) This volume is over 340 years old and shows wear consistent with a working antique law text: • Binding: original full calf leather, with heavy rubbing, scuffing, and corner wear. Spine intact but shows significant cracking and dry flaking. • Text pages: complete, crisp, and cleanly printed throughout. • Index pages: heavy tattering and deep edge fraying at the front, with minor margin loss isolated to the blank edges (visible near the ruler in photos). • Provenance: handwritten ownership inscriptions on the title page dating to 1804. A strong candidate for restoration, a reference piece, or a display volume for a lawyer, law firm, or antiquarian book collector.
