TAPES Sampler This is an interesting piece of equipment that allows you to sample and process audio in real-time. You can change the pitch and create sound designs similar to a bitcrusher. As it is a used item, there are minor scratches. Instruction manual included. —————————————- Manufacturer's Description Below HOME BAKE INSTRUMENTS LOOP TAPE SAMPLER TAPES is a sampler that simulates a LOOP TAPE. It adds a challenging essence not only to experimental music like Music Concrete and Vaper Wave, but also to your usual music. Lo-Fi Effects Input sound is recorded onto tape through the REC HEAD and then output through the PLAY HEAD. The output sound is delayed slightly from the input. This delay time is determined by the tape playback speed (SPEED) and the tape length (END-START interval). By shortening the interval between START and END, you can achieve a faster response. The sound quality of the output varies greatly depending on the tape playback speed (SPEED). Faster tape speeds result in higher resolution sound, while slower speeds result in rougher resolution. When played slowly, higher frequencies tend to become rougher, and the LPF (TONE knob) can be used to mitigate this. Loop Function (Sampling) When the REC button is pressed, TAPES continuously writes to the tape. However, by pressing the LOOP switch, you can stop writing and loop (sample) the sound. Pressing and holding the LOOP button allows you to save the tape contents. Writing and playback are performed within the section set by the START and END knobs. By utilizing this feature, you can create new loops by combining multiple sounds in sequence.
