Purchased new in September 2021, but I didn't ride it much due to a difference in style. The shape is by XANADU, and the lamination is by Alex Villalobos, also known as Superwolf. It's a Size 7'3 Quad / Glass on Fin. ATTACCA is a brand based in Los Angeles and San Diego that designs, develops, and sells surf products, including surfboards. The brand was started by Paul Takahashi and Shige Koike, along with their colleagues. ATTACCA doesn't express perfect board design through a uniform approach; instead, it explores surfboard designs that incorporate unique new sensibilities based on the abundant resources cultivated in the surfing industry. The meticulous details of intersecting curves, such as outline, rocker design, and rail design, are realized through the collaboration of shapers like Xanadu and Hank Byzak, who have over 30 years of surfboard design experience. Furthermore, Alex Villalobos, the main laminator whose exceptional sense of color and technical skill are globally recognized, creates innovative and unique visuals. Custom details such as custom fins made by Jack Fin Man Jensen and unique leash loops are also incorporated. ATTACCA surfboards are functionally designed for ease of use with the highest craftsmanship, satisfying everyone from beginners to experts, and even collectors who seek beautiful objects in their surfboards. ATTACCA is a musical term that refers to the smooth transition between movements or pieces in a classical suite, where the connections are imperceptible. ATTACCA values a lifestyle where the ocean, land, surfing, and work are seamlessly connected.
