For sale is a Kenwood CD/MD/FM/AM/AUX IN mini component system, model ES-3MD. Manufactured in 2003, this fully functional unit has undergone maintenance and servicing. Includes original remote control, instruction manual, and all accessories except for the original box for FM/AM etc. This is a superb, near-mint condition unit with almost no visible scratches or dirt! Measuring 345mm wide, 277mm deep, and 210mm high, this ultra-compact micro component system fits perfectly into bookshelves, cube shelves, and similar spaces! It can be smartly installed in small rooms or areas where space is limited! This compact system produces an unbelievably deep bass, and reproduces original, clear, and distinct mid-high tones, delivering a truly high-quality and rich sound! Without a doubt, there is no other MD component system of this size that can produce better sound quality! CD Section: Replaced with a good used mechanical unit and control board, cleaned pickup lens, greased mechanical and drive parts, finely adjusted laser output, and cleaned position detection microswitch contacts. MD Section: Cleaned pickup lens and recording head, greased mechanical and drive parts, cleaned position detection microswitch contacts, and finely adjusted laser output. Speaker Section: Softened hardened woofer unit edges. Completely disassembled unit, thoroughly cleaned interior and exterior, removing dust and dirt. Disinfected remote control and accessories. With all accessories included, in superb near-mint condition, and fully serviced and operational, this model is extremely rare and difficult to find in this state. Approximately 80% of used units of this model have CD read errors, and even those that can read and play often suffer from skipping. About half of MD units have reduced laser output or worn switches, making them unreadable or unable to play/record. Furthermore, other listings on this platform and shopping sites are typically in unserviced condition. They may work initially but will likely develop problems soon after. For mini component systems of this era, basic servicing and maintenance are essential. This ES-3MD unit has been serviced and maintained and is in fully operational condition, ensuring long-term, worry-free use. All functions and sound output are operating smoothly with no signs of malfunction or impending issues. Although this unit has been serviced and is fully operational, it is a very old used product, over 20 years since its manufacture. Therefore, we cannot guarantee long-term operation or provide a warranty. Please consider this purchase only if you have a thorough understanding of used vintage electronics.
