This is an AIWA cassette player (with radio), model HS-RS250. Operation of the cassette tape and radio has been confirmed using two AA batteries. As part of simple maintenance, tape speed has been checked (A tone 440Hz) and the magnetic head has been demagnetized (see photos 2 and 3). Features and recommended points include: The satisfying click when pressing the play button and the sound of rewinding create an atmosphere that modern digital devices lack. Placing it on your desk and playing music in a calm atmosphere seems perfect for relaxing while working. There is a slight noise, similar to the crackle of vinyl records, when playing cassettes. This has been intentionally left as is, contributing to a lo-fi and chill-pop impression. The design is quite simple, and it adds a retro feel just by being placed somewhere. [Operation Confirmation Details] - FM Radio: Reception confirmed (earphone cord acts as antenna). - AM Radio: Reception sensitivity is weak; difficult indoors, barely receivable outdoors. - Cassette: Playback confirmed. Slight noise present. - Playback compatible with Normal, High Position (Chrome, Metal) tapes. - Super Bass function included. - Operates on 2 AA batteries. - External power (3V) connector available (untested as AC adapter is not owned). - Main unit dimensions: 92.9mm x 125.6mm x 35.2mm. - This listing is for the main unit only. The condition is used, with minor scuffs and scratches consistent with age, but it functions without issue for normal use (operation confirmed within the scope described above). *Approximately 30 years have passed since manufacturing (manufactured in 1994). While operation has been confirmed within the scope described above, please understand that future operation of this vintage item cannot be guaranteed.
