Limited-time price reduction. ■ Product Overview This is a deadstock item of the No. 50 COMET, manufactured in the early period when Dietz relocated its factory to Hong Kong, around the 1950s-1960s. This particular unit was handled by Evernew, the official distributor in Japan at the time. Not only is the condition of the lantern itself excellent, but it is extremely rare to find one with all its accessories in such perfect condition on the market. ■ Special Features of This Unit [Completely Unused / Unlit] The tank is free of any rust or fuel stains, and the burner wick is still pristine white, indicating deadstock condition. [Characteristics of Early Hong Kong Production] The globe features the embossed logo from that era. The stamp on the bottom of the tank is off-center, a rare characteristic of the early molds used at the Hong Kong factory. [Complete Set] The original box, Japanese instruction manual, and the Dietz genuine orange tag still attached to the lantern are all included. This item holds significant historical value. [Excellent Preservation] While there are minor paint chips and slight rust due to age, the blue paint retains its original luster, giving it an outstanding vintage presence. ■ Condition Lantern Body: Unused (unlit) Globe: Genuine embossed globe (no cracks or chips) Accessories: Original box (with age-appropriate damage), instruction manual, genuine tag Operation: Burner elevation and all parts checked for movement (usable, but recommended for collection) ■ A Word from the Seller The appeal lies in the thickness of the metal and the quality of the paint from that era, which cannot be found in current production or reproductions. It is highly unlikely that a set with this level of completeness will appear on the market again.
