Compared to the built-in phono stage of typical integrated amplifiers, this unit offers improved resolution and a thicker sound. 《Product Description》 The EA-3, a transistor-based phono equalizer amplifier developed by inheriting the design philosophy and musical expression of the EA-1 phono amplifier, is a long-awaited phono amplifier for many analog disc enthusiasts. The enjoyment of analog disc playback, which draws out the realism of the music and the passion of the artist etched into records, has become more accessible. A transistor-based phono equalizer amplifier developed by inheriting the design philosophy and musical expression of the EA-1. The circuit configuration employs a fully symmetrical, non-feedback amplification design. The first stage forms a low-noise voltage-to-current conversion circuit using a complementary connection of complementary FETs (Field-Effect Transistors). By using carefully selected components and operating with self-bias, the operating point is fixed, eliminating the need for a bias circuit. This removes sources of noise and degradation in sound quality, enabling the inherent low-noise performance of the components. The second stage constitutes a current amplification and voltage conversion circuit, achieving the playback characteristics through RIAA impedance elements connected to the current output point. This allows for a CR-type equalizer circuit with no RIAA deviation up to ultra-high frequencies, resulting in excellent transient characteristics.
