While the floor alone is sufficiently durable on normal ground, this groundsheet is recommended for those who want enhanced protection from sharp rocks and protrusions when setting up on rocky, gravelly, or uneven terrain, those who want to simplify the setup confirmation process, and those who want to keep their tent cleaner. Lay it under the tent floor with the logo side facing up and secure it at the four corners. It can be used while attached, but removal is recommended for drying. This is a genuine groundsheet specifically designed for the X-Dome 1+.
