Japanese Dance Prop: Tsuzumi Drum (Kotsuzumi) with Maki-e Gold Leaf for Stage and Practice Product Description: This is a tsuzumi drum (kotsuzumi) that was used as a prop for Japanese dance performances. It was previously owned by someone who has retired from Japanese dance. It features **gorgeous gold maki-e (flower pattern)** that stands out against the jet-black lacquer, creating a very beautiful and stage-worthy appearance. [Product Features] • Material: The material of the drumhead is unknown, but it is believed to be an artificial material (resin, synthetic leather, etc.). It was purchased for approximately 30,000 yen at the time. Unlike inexpensive practice models, this is a solid, well-made item suitable for stage use. • Design: The body of the drum is adorned with luxurious gold embellishments, and the interior also has a brilliant finish resembling gold leaf. • Size: * Diameter of the striking surface: approx. 19 cm * Overall length: approx. 26 cm (Please note that these are amateur measurements, so slight errors may occur.) [Condition] • This is a used item that has been used on stage. However, there are no noticeable scratches or major peeling of the maki-e, and it is in relatively clean condition. • The orange-colored string (shirabe-o) is also in good condition and can be used as is. [Uses] • As a prop for Japanese dance and theatrical stage performances • For practice during lessons • As interior decoration for Japanese-style rooms or for seasonal decorations like Children's Day (Tango no Sekku) [Shipping Information (Please Read Carefully)] As this is a valuable item, to minimize damage from impact during shipping (such as cracking of the body or damage to the drumheads), we generally recommend packing it disassembled (with the drumheads, body, and string separated). • Recommended: Disassembled Shipping Each part can be individually protected with cushioning material, ensuring a safer delivery. • Shipping Assembled If you wish to use the item immediately upon arrival, we can also ship it assembled. * If you would like to have it shipped assembled, please send us a message after your purchase. If no specific request is made, we will prioritize safety and ship it disassembled.
