I received this Noh flute from my Noh master when I started learning Noh music. According to my teacher, he chose a thinner pipe that would be easy for women and beginners to handle. I practiced with this flute for the first few years. It was maintained by my teacher about three years ago. It is ready to play immediately. After that, as I practiced more, I began to understand my preferred sound, and I also received more flutes from my seniors, so I prioritized playing those. Therefore, this flute has not been used much recently. I am offering it to someone who will cherish it. The length is approximately 39.6 cm. It feels a few millimeters longer than my other Noh flutes. The mouthpiece is a dragon. Although it is difficult to see, there is a small inscription of Seiyu. The sound is soft and gentle, without any harshness. The hishigi (a specific sound effect) also comes out well. The high notes have a deep, resonant quality that feels soothing. For the low notes, I personally found it took a little practice, but it produced a smooth sound after wetting the pipe before playing. Personally, I believe this is a flute that rewards the player's effort. I am hesitant to part with it, but I have decided to list it. Please check the photos for the thickness. The thickness also gives the impression of being slimmer than my other Noh flutes. As this is a delicate and expensive item, returns will not be accepted for any reason. Please enlarge the photos, examine them carefully, and if you have any concerns, be sure to ask questions before purchasing and buy only after you are satisfied. If, by any chance, you are not satisfied with it, I would appreciate it if you could relist it yourself. Click here for the manufacturer's site
