For those who want the real deal. For this sale, I've had close friends and family try it out as a gift. They've all said they love it because the sound is truly wonderful. - Model Name: Westminster Chime (Brand name under development) - Materials: Stainless steel pipe, approximately 3cm in diameter Donut-shaped striker made from cherry wood - Design Features: Original donut-shaped striker made from cherry wood - Tone: Clear and pleasant sound - Size: Pipe total length approximately 200cm, longest pipe 55.5cm Thank you for looking. I am pursuing the creation of an instrument that can play automatically without any musical skill. I have meticulously crafted this by carefully selecting the notes, materials, and precisely measuring and cutting the lengths using spreadsheets, down to the suspension points. The exceptionally long sustain and well-balanced overtones create a rich and pleasant lingering resonance. The 3cm diameter stainless steel pipes produce a clear tone and powerful overtones, offering an overwhelmingly healing sound experience. The pitches are D G A B, the same as the Westminster Quarters (Do-Re-Mi-So). This is also the same as school bells. It's the most common set of pitches in the world, so you won't get tired of listening to it. Even with a light breeze, a gentle and rich sound will resonate for a long time. Wind Chime Trivia Terminology Support: The round board from which the chimes are hung. Striker: The weight that strikes the chimes to make them sound. Sail: The board that catches the wind. Commonly Used Pipe Materials: Iron, Stainless Steel, Aluminum High-End Materials: Copper, Bronze, Brass The longer the pipe, the lower the pitch. However, the sound we actually hear consists of the second and third overtones. Therefore, the usable range is about two octaves around the middle of a piano. Even with the same note, longer chimes have more overtones and are more appealing. Thicker pipes are more resistant to bending, resulting in a higher pitch. For the same reason, thicker pipes produce a higher pitch. However, thick and heavy pipes have a longer resonance and richer overtones. The suspension point, where the hole is drilled, is extremely important. Lower-priced items are uniformly suspended from the top, which hinders resonance and reduces sustain. The height, weight, hardness, size, and shape of the striker, as well as the length of the string, and the size, weight, and shape of the sail, all affect the tone and sound production. Trial and error are essential for adjustment. I use a large plate-like support to protect from rain and for aesthetic purposes. Wooden supports are not very resistant to rain.
