This is a sukiyaki pot with a wooden lid, made from Nambu ironware. It is characterized by its high heat retention and slow cooling once heated. I purchased it because I wanted a reliable iron pot from Nambu ironware Ikenaga, but it is unused. It comes with its original box, which I only opened for the purpose of taking these photos. If you are able to wrap it yourself, I believe it would also make a suitable gift. [Personal opinion] ☆The folded part inside the box is slightly dented. Please check images 14 and 15. This is not noticeable from the outside. I purchased it after a friend told me it was excellent for iron supplementation. [I am selling this new and unused item because I purchased other Nambu ironware as well.] Purchase price: 11,000 yen Nambu ironware, a familiar traditional Japanese craft. This is a sukiyaki pot made from cast iron, produced in the Mizusawa region of Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture. Nambu ironware, made from cast iron, is characterized by its rugged and weighty appearance. This Nambu iron sukiyaki pot can be used for both Kanto-style and Kansai-style cooking. The wooden lid allows it to be used for cooking gyoza and other dishes besides sukiyaki. Compatible with IH cooktops. ■Note: Usable on direct flame, compatible with IH 205v. ■Country of Origin: Japan [Diameter 26cm x Height 6cm] ■Materials: Body: Cast iron Wooden lid: Natural wood ■Finish: Baked cashew coating Click here for the manufacturer's site
