■P313■ Excellent Condition ■ Keyaki Sangyo ■ Sendai Tansu ■ Approx. ￥400,000 ■ Highest Quality ■ Zelkova Wood ■ Peony and Arabesque Fittings ■ Lacquerware ■ 4 Drawers ■ Chest of Drawers ■ Period Tansu ■ Japanese Chest ■ Traditional Crafts Introducing the highest quality Sendai Folk Craft Tansu by Keyaki Sangyo, which carries on the elegance of Sendai Tansu, a supreme Japanese furniture designated as a national traditional craft, passed down in the Miyagi region since the Date clan era. This prestigious manufacturer skillfully combines carefully selected natural wood, genuine lacquer, and overwhelmingly impressive decorative metal fittings to continuously produce first-class folk craft furniture that can be passed down through generations. This is not just storage furniture for clothes, but a highest quality artistic furnishing with lifelong value that will dramatically elevate the atmosphere of your entire room with its overwhelming presence and the sophisticated beauty of Japanese modern style. The heavy peony and arabesque carved decorative metal fittings, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship, are boldly featured across the entire front of the drawers, boasting breathtaking beauty. The custom-made fittings, with their three-dimensionally hammered peonies, which have been loved since ancient times as symbols of wealth, nobility, and high status, create a magnificent contrast with the lustrous depth of the lacquerware, releasing wonderful shadows and dignity into the space depending on the viewing angle and light. This tansu is luxuriously made from the highest quality solid zelkova (keyaki) wood, which has a strong and beautiful grain comparable to the world's top three precious woods. The deep texture of the wood grain is brought out to the utmost by repeatedly applying and wiping off genuine lacquer. The inside of the drawers is made of high-quality paulownia wood, which is highly airtight and resistant to warping. It offers excellent functionality for long-term storage, protecting precious clothes and kimonos from moisture, and dramatically creates a unique, luxurious interior scene that smartly harmonizes as a chest of drawers in modern Western-style rooms and living rooms. Please consider this opportunity. Condition: As this is a used item, there are minor scratches, scuffs, and dirt as shown in the photos, but it is otherwise in excellent condition.
