I actually use this for grape cultivation and home gardening! We also sell rice bran and rice husks! Please consider it! We measure the volume based on commercially available soil, then compress it significantly and send it in a vacuum-sealed package. By the time it arrives, air will have entered, but since it has been compressed, please use it after fluffing it back up. How to use ↓ The main ways to use garden leaf mold are as a soil conditioner mixed into the base soil, and as a mulching material spread on the surface. When mixing with soil, use a ratio of 2 parts soil to 1 part leaf mold as a basic guideline, adjusting the amount according to the plant's growing environment. When used as a mulching material, spreading it about 3-4 cm thick on the soil surface provides benefits such as heat and moisture retention, weed suppression, and prevention of pathogen dispersal. For mixing with soil (soil improvement) Purpose: To balance drainage, water retention, and aeration, soften the soil, and activate microorganisms. Mixing example: Base soil: Mix base soil and leaf mold in a 2:1 ratio (2 parts soil: 1 part leaf mold). Improving garden and flower bed soil: Mix deeply into the soil using a hoe or tiller, at a rate of approximately 3-5 kg per square meter. Points to note: Be careful, as adding too much leaf mold can make roots unstable or cause root rot. Immature leaf mold can deplete soil nutrients (nitrogen starvation), so always use fully fermented and ripened leaf mold. After mixing, it is recommended to let the soil settle for about 2 weeks to 1 month before planting. For spreading on the soil surface (mulching) Purpose: Heat and moisture retention, prevention of drying, suppression of weed growth, prevention of pathogen dispersal. Method: Spread a layer of about 3-4 cm thick on the soil surface around the base of the plants. Points to note: In winter, it maintains an appropriate soil temperature with its heat and insulation effects, and in summer, it suppresses drying and rising ground temperatures.
