This is a pickle pot from the prestigious Tokoname ware kiln, Hisamatsu-gama, which is now out of business and difficult to obtain. It is a long-loved item, featuring the beautiful, calm amber glaze characteristic of Hisamatsu-gama, and has been used for many years as a storage container for making miso, umeboshi (pickled plums), nukazuke (rice bran pickles), kimchi, and more. It has the moderate breathability and heat retention unique to pottery, making it suitable for making pickles. ■Product Details ?Size: Equivalent to No. 1 ?Actual measurements (approx.): Height 16cm / Diameter 16.5cm ?Accessories: Lid included ■Condition There are scuffs and minor scratches due to age and storage, but no noticeable large chips or cracks are found. The gloss remains, and the overall condition is good. Please check the photos for details on the condition. Hisamatsu-gama is now out of business, and items in good condition are becoming increasingly rare each year. For those who are looking for one, how about this opportunity?
