This is an original pastry board recently purchased from Tomizawa Shoten in December ☆ A wooden board that can be used as a work surface for making sweets and bread. This is a mini size of the original Tomizawa Shoten pastry board, created in response to customer requests for a smaller size! Although it's a mini size, it's large enough for shaping dough for a typical batch of bread or making tarts. The surface is well-coated, making it washable and requiring less flour for dusting. Its moderate weight ensures stable use. The slanted cut on the sides is also a convenient feature. [Pastry board handmade one by one by artisans in a domestic atelier] This pastry board is handmade one by one by artisans in an atelier in Japan that also handles wooden tableware. It is finished with urethane coating (also used for wooden bowls, etc.) which is safe for direct contact with food, making it safe for making sweets and bread. [Washable! Hygienic and pleasant to use] The urethane coating allows it to be washed with liquid detergent and a sponge after use. Not only do cookie and bread dough peel off easily, but you can always use it in a clean state. To ensure it remains in good condition for a long time, please avoid soaking it in water for extended periods. [Convenient diameter guides and a scale for measuring length] The surface of the pastry board has diameter guides, convenient for stretching dough for pies, tarts, and pizzas. It's helpful for stretching to the desired size while rolling with a rolling pin. Additionally, there is a scale on the edge of the board that can be used as a reference when stretching dough. ■ Purchase: Tomizawa Shoten ￥4268 ■ Size: Mini 400×300×18mm Weight 1000 grams ■ Material: Birch plywood, urethane coating ■ Made in Japan I ordered the wrong size! (I made quiche once on this board last Christmas) Although it was used only once. This is for those who are okay with that ??? Click here for the manufacturer's site
