Thank you for your interest in our product. This item is carefully and meticulously crafted by a former carpenter with over half a century of experience. We aim for a smooth and pleasant transaction for both parties. Please read the following carefully and make your purchase with understanding. This is a breeding box for Japanese honeybees. The images shown are from a previous product. The manufacturing method is the same, so please use them as a reference. [External Dimensions] 400mm x 400mm x 920mm Entrance height: 6mm, Entrance width: 120mm [Hive Box Dimensions] 300mm x 300mm x 130mm Wood thickness: 26mm The side panels of the hive boxes use quarter-sawn or rift-sawn lumber with few knots. (Many other products use plain-sawn lumber). While rare and slightly more expensive, this lumber is less prone to warping and has excellent moisture regulation, creating a comfortable environment for bees and ensuring longevity. - The wood is not torched. This is because dark colors absorb sunlight in the summer, leading to excessive internal temperatures. - Each joint is carefully planed to minimize gaps and ensure a snug fit. - The anti-shift pins attached to each hive box can be removed with pliers if not needed. - The front of the entrance section can be detached using the screws on both sides for easy cleaning. - The bottom hive box, which serves as the entrance, is made slightly smaller to prevent rainwater intrusion. The bottom board uses wood approximately 45mm thick, providing excellent stability and resistance to warping even after many years of use. Products using wood of this thickness are rare. - A board with a viewing hole is included between the ceiling board and the top hive box. - All components are thoroughly air-dried in the shade for several months. - As a bonus, we will include some honey straining residue, packed in a Ziploc bag (approximately a few grams). - The primary material used is domestic Japanese cedar. As this is a handmade item and not intended as a decorative object, there may be slight variations in dimensions, minor cosmetic imperfections, marking lines, or small cracks. We kindly ask that individuals who are overly sensitive or concerned about minor details refrain from purchasing. While crafted by a former carpenter, please understand that the beekeeping aspect is a hobby, and the creator is an amateur in that regard. We are not considering price reductions.
