This design is not realistic but is depicted according to the Miao people's aesthetic of prayer and auspicious imagery, symbolizing family prosperity, the power to welcome blessings from all directions, and the sprouting of life. It is a completely handmade piece, meticulously crafted stitch by stitch with silk thread over the course of a month.
