This is a set of 6 square, borderless tatami mats, also known as Ryukyu tatami, that can easily create a Japanese-style space just by placing them on your flooring. The back is equipped with a non-slip finish, making them secure and less likely to shift. [Category] Floor Tatami Mats [Color] Beige tones [Material] Igusa (rush grass), non-slip finish on the back [Quantity] 6 mats [Size per mat] Width: Approx. 88 cm, Length: 88 cm, Thickness: 1 cm 6 mats These were purchased to use my flooring as a Japanese-style room, costing approximately ￥10,000 per mat, for a total of around ￥60,000. They were laid down for about a year, but due to a move, they have since been stored in a trunk room. Since there are 6 mats of the same size, you can use them in various combinations depending on how you arrange them. When laid with alternating directions of the weave, they appear as a checkered pattern depending on the light. Borderless tatami mats complement both Japanese and Western-style interiors beautifully. (Photo 1) You can also arrange them in a simple way, all facing the same direction. (Photo 2) Create a relaxing tatami space by simply arranging them on your flooring in a corner of your living room, bedroom, or as a play area for children. The back is made of felt material, so they won't slip when placed on flooring. (Photo 4) They were laid in a guest room that was not used frequently, so they are in relatively good condition. However, as they have been stored for a long time, there may be some age-related deterioration, as well as some scratches and sun fading. Please examine the photos carefully before considering your purchase. We appreciate your understanding of this being a used item. The price includes shipping!
