A vintage wooden writing bureau found in the English countryside. Circa 1920s. Oak. A writing bureau is a piece of furniture that combines a writing desk and a cabinet (bureau). The part that serves as the desk surface is the door of the cabinet, which is lowered forward when writing. It typically has storage shelves below, and this one also comes with storage shelves in the lower section. The desk surface extends out significantly, allowing for comfortable writing and work despite its compact size. The functional design includes storage shelves in the lower section, providing ample storage and helping to keep your room tidy. This is a shallow depth bureau, making it perfect for installation in narrow spaces. Additionally, the legs are equipped with casters, making it easy to move, which is a great feature. The aged patina and rustic texture, characteristic of vintage antiques, exude a nostalgic atmosphere, adding a touch of warmth and comfort to your space. It's perfect for use as a shop display fixture, or for creating a scene reminiscent of European films or interior design magazines by combining it with antique furniture in your everyday space. Combining it with modern furniture would also be interesting. Please note that there are stains, scratches, rust, cracks, peeling, and marks due to age and wear. The lower doors do not align perfectly and require a bit of practice to get used to. (When storing, the left and right doors are closed together.) Please purchase with the understanding of the above. ○Dimensions○ H: Approx. 105cm x W: Approx. 67cm x D: Approx. 31cm *Height to desk surface when open: Approx. 76cm *Depth when open (D): Approx. 59cm (Drawer) H: Approx. 9cm x W: Approx. 55.5cm x D: Approx. 23cm (Interior storage dimensions) H: Approx. 25/24cm x W: Approx. 58cm x D: Approx. 25cm *Shelves are not removable. *Please allow for slight variations in measurements.
